Emotions so thin

Emotion clouds reason making communication difficult.

Emotions so thin
Most delicate tip of
Fresh grass
Rips through it
Soothing words to
Heal thy wound
Am afraid
Will irritate more
Words coming from
Raw wound, bleeding
Deep inside my heart
Contorting what I
Meant to say
Silently walk away
Tried to reason
But
Failed to handle emotion

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

  1. It is interesting how complex the human mind and body is. Or any living thing for that matter. This World is full of layers and details, it is difficult to compare any two things. It’s interesting to think that no person knows you, as well as you know yourself. And the only things that people know about you are what you share and what they observe. Within you is a World on its own. Emotions are a powerful force.

      1. Thanks for your encouraging words.
I have not published any books. Don’t even know how to go about it. I have started writing just two years back. Did write long time back when I was in high school but no records now.

      2. I published my poetry book on Amazon. It is free and comes with a tutorial. It is long and tedious but well worth it in the end. Whispering Thoughts: Poems about love, life and living ….. it seems my journey has been about love. Love From The Inside is my business. Smashwords is also a free website to publish books on and has a tutorial that is easy to follow as well. Good luck. I look forward to more of your work.

      3. Thanks again for your suggestions. As I said before I did not have any idea about publishing. I surely look into these two sites.
I saw the reference to your published book Whispering Thoughts on your site.

      4. Is there a place where I can read and comment on your poetry? I cannot find a place to comment on there.. I do like what your blog has to offer (what I did see) 🙂

      5. Aw, that means lovingdolphins was asking you to publish all along and I misunderstood. My assignment 9 post is an unhappy mix-up then. But I learnt something new, so I am happy:)

      1. Free writing and other activities, I believe, tap into the subconscious. Also, I think that tracking dreams is a way of understanding the subconscious.

      2. Do you ever remember your dreams when you wake up, and interpret them? Some mornings I remember nothing, and some mornings I wake up, and I am amazed and flooded with inspiration. In my opinion, dreams allow us to dive into things we suppress into our subconscious.

      3. Normally I do not. I used to see dreadful dreams in my childhood because of all the stories of ghosts and other frightening characters elders will tell. So I practiced hard to have a good night’s sleep. It stayed with me. I may not sleep long hours but I tend to sleep well. So I am not sure if I dream or not:)

  2. So I looked into what happened, with the comment confusion from earlier. It looks like @lovingdolphins put a reply after one of my comments on here, and that went to my incoming messages. so I mistook that for a comment regarding my poetry. I believe she was commenting on your poetry, and I got confused because it came up in my messages. I believe that’s what happened and I just wanted to point that out! 🙂
