Everything good and beautiful in nature is free to be shared.
Yesterday
My friend shared a picture
Beautiful sunrise over the lake
Wish I was there
Could not reciprocate
Our sun was hiding
Dark rain clouds
Ominous and brooding
Another day,another morning
Rain clouds are gone
Glorious sunrise
Bright and warm
Nature’s reminder
We may not all be there, but
Everything good, everything beautiful
Is free to share

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

It’s a double edeged sowrd. When we make nature more accessible to people, we start destroying what we go looking for.

There is always that risk. I work for a regional land trust in North Carolina helping preserve natural areas and family farms and I think that people only protect what they love, people only love what they know – so we have to find a way to connect people to nature so that they can appreciate it and gain a desire to preserve it. I’m not talking about snowmobiles in Yellowstone – I agree that some places are better off without human interference. But I hate that so many children today are growing up without spending any time outdoors.
