Why does God be father
And not mother
Does our quest
For an unknown creator
Rein in our imagination
That we can not fathom
When in reality
Mother carries the burden
Of creation
Our feeble mind
Glorifies a father figure
Neglecting the one
Who nourishes our life
And showers us with
Unquestioned love
From the time of conception
Through every step of life
Is it because
Those who created the
Image of a God
Distant from own creation
Influenced by fathers
Who kept a distance
From their lives
Fleeting Muse
