This poem started as my comment on Ritu’s (ButISmileAnyway)post ,The Life of a Teacher. I decided to modify, expand and post it on my blog. Ritu, I hope you won’t mind.
Life of a teacher
It’s difficult to define
A profession very fine
Daily riding a roller coaster
Not that of a preacher
Not a father nor mother
May be an elder
Brother or sister
A friend, perhaps
Guide and a philosopher
Moulding and shaping lives
Like a dedicated sculptor
Hope none turns out to be tyrant
Dooming young lives forever to a prison
Patience is a virtue
For teachers it’s so true
Good teacher’s influence never ends
Lessons learnt form a lifelong bond
Good times or bad or times of distress
Those lessons learnt one can always depend
If money is all you crave
Money is the means to an end
Then to be a teacher
You must be very brave
Life of a teacher,
Challenging, yes
Dull, never
Very well said about the life of a teacher!

No, it was wonderful! But I have had a particularly exhausting few weeks, and I spent a long time in bed yesterday, followed by a long lie in this morning, and time with the family today!
So the Blog was kinda second on my mind! I loved it!

Ah, just teasing. I never take life seriously, try to enjoy each moment as it comes. Of course, fail miserably most of the time😀
