My second attempt at English Ghazal with Assamese Translation .
PEACE ELUSIVE
What I seek I never get,peace elusive
As I seek,further it is,peace elusive
Thought peace was drowning in your eyes
Mirage it was, absent bliss, peace elusive
Heart wounded bears the emotional scars
Lonely heart Silently weeps, peace elusive
Reaching for love shackled by fear of rejection
Judge me not wrong please, peace elusive
Till end of time will always wait for thee
How deeply you I do miss, Peace elusive
You got it! Beautiful ghazal, whichever way you look at it 🙂

I think you’ve cracked the technical aspect. You’ll be just honing the poetry from now on 🙂

Sometimes peace takes flight but we must never stop pursuing it 🙂

My 2nd grade text book had a poem the gist of which was that people look for peace everywhere but never find it, but those who can let go of their self interest, peace run after them.

lasting peace is inside us, if we find it there then we get it otherwise not.

It is sad when peace becomes elusive, well expressed.

Wow, it’s lovely and beautiful. Nice to meeting you from Jackie’s party. I love the humor your left in her comment!! Haha… If I add “with” – that would change the whole mood, wouldn’t it?

A little humor goes a long way to relieve stress in our daily life, and that’s what parties are for, isn’t it.

I was (until today) unfamiliar with this poetic form. Thank you for introducing me to it and to your poetry. You kindly commented on my comment on Mostly Blogging (I.E. the link to my interview on Rhyme in which I discuss my poetry). Kind regards, Kevin

I was introduced to Ghazal in English by Jane Dougherty. Being from India originally, grew up listening to Ghazal sang by many famous artists (in Urdu / Hindi).
Glad to make your acquaintance.

It’s a quest to find peace sometimes, but we must never give up hope. The sanctity it will bring to calm the wounded heart… Nice work.

Thank you and Thanks for the visit.
I agree that Ghazals are difficult to write. I have written just a handful.

You’re welcome. Thank you for your visit! I’ve only written one or two. The last time I tried, it was so bad I just trashed it. 🙂
