Twisted

You read my lips
With ears closed
You stole my words
I meant to say
You misinterpreted
Twisted and tormented
Barbed arrows flying
From your lips
Skewered my heart
Deep beneath the hurt
Lies the wounded
Words of love
I am trying
Desperately to say
Will you please
Let silence in
And let the
Heart decide

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

  1. For some reason, this really touched me. Like finally having it out, putting all your cards on the table, without getting caught up in the heat of the moment. Giving your heart some time and space and quiet, and trusting it to make the right decision.
