Will you marry me
Imagine how many
Lovers may be waiting
Longingly to hear these
Will is not short for William
I think everybody knows that
Long ago some important dudette
Lovingly may have slurred Will as Bill
Will of mine I will not
Impose on anybody
Lightly will I tread
Lonely if need be
Will to you everything that is mine
Inherit all that belongs to me
Life is to give, cherish and love
Live happily with what you have

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

Great example of the many uses of “will.” I love words like this, that can be used more than one way. Sometimes that’s how I choose one word over another for a poem, because it has two or more meanings and they all seem to fit. Like magic. Well done! 🙂
