Talk with those
Who traversed this path before
Never get a response
Nor a sign if
They are happy or sad
Am the sight of those
Who I do not know
If they see any more
Am the voice of those
Who I do not know if
They talk any more
Carry on their work
Falter and despair
But in my heart I hear
Reassuring words
Been there, done that
May not have always
Been perfect
But did our best
And we know
You will do your best
As long as intents are good and clear
Will leave this world a better place
For those who come after
Talk with those
Who are gone, but
Never forgotten
All you can do is your best. Live your values, be a good example, never compromise your integrity. People are always watching, and are much more affected by what you do than what you say. Nice poem. 🙂

Thanks Joan.
That’s what I try to teach my kids that at night when they go to bed if they can honestly tell themselves that they have done their best, then they will be OK.

Definitely. All we can do is to do our best for providence and our progeny.
