How Are You

Those for whom

Dawn is just

A reminder

For the struggles ahead

Responding to the greeting

How are you

Is just a luxury

A moment wasted

In daily grind

Heroes are they

Whose face lights up

Responding with a smile

I am well

How are you

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

  1. To a nurse, those last five lines are music to the ears. Because patients never say them. It’s always a protracted diatribe about every little symptom that ails them. What a relief to be retired and back to the normal world of small talk, where everyone is “fine, thank you.” 🙂
