Idea for this post came while commenting on a post from Ritu (butismileanyway). I read her post in bed and sent my comment. As I was getting out from bed, I panicked. Did the ghost of autocorrect took over my comment. What a disaster that would be.
Rest assured I was texting
Not sexting
Enjoying the lush read
No lust, not lost
Hoping it was
Not the last
Hit the send button
Too quickly
And panicked
Will All my efforts
Turn to dust
Am I out of luck
Why there is
No safety lock
On the send button
My, my!
Why does it say lick
Ghost of autocorrect
Must have paid a visit
Before even the
First cup of coffee
There is no butter
For the toasted bread
Bread is not better
With roasted potatoes
A replacement here
A subtraction there
Smug becomes smut
Lover turns to loser
I am host
To autocorrect’s ghost
What a morning it is
Exasperatedly exacerbated
I switch from
Bitter coffee to
Butter toffee
Ha!!! Love it! Autocorrect has a lot to answer for!

Yes.
On my cell phone I use swiftkey and have both Assamese and English keyboard with disastrous (and sometimes humorous) results due to autocorrect 😢

It can be a giggle… but sometimes kicks in at the most inopportune moments!

Thanks Jonathan. Really appreciate the reblog.
In my case it was the cell phone. Modern day cell phones are computers though.

This is awesome… sometimes autocorrect does its thing after it’s too late to un-correct it. The results, as you’ve shown, can be hilariously confusing to the receiver. 🙂
