Game of Love

The game of love

Is not what you think

Takes two to tango

Just one to break up

A spring of dreams

Laid barren by

Midsummer’s sun

Sent to cold storage

Deep Winter’s snow

Yesterday’s rose petals

Withered and blown away

The game of love

Flourishes watered by

Faith and hope

Patience and desire

Compromise makes it bloom

The game of love

Not for the faint hearted

Commitment keeps it alive

Weathering storms of doubt

The game of love

Rich pleasure

For those

Willing for

A slow waltz

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

    1. Yes, absolutely. I was sort of in a writer’s funk last few days(I won’t call it a writer’s block) as I was busy in some house work resulting in body ache all over. Today after a late breakfast as I was sitting and going over some blog posts, the poem just came to my mind and I wrote it down on my cell phone WordPress app (normally I write my posts using the pc as I find posting from the phone very tedious). It may have taken me barely five minutes and posted without editing. Afterwards I was apprehensive as I do not know how to dance.
