Hiking QuickSilver County Park : Tuesday Photo Challenge – Scene

This week’s Tuesday Photo Challenge prompt from Frank  is  “Scene”.

After a long time, I went hiking solo up the hilly trails of QuickSilver County Park near my home.  Now a days I rarely go hiking solo as my better half  is worried that I will die up on the hills and no one will know.  As far as I am concerned, nothing can be better than that.  As one is about to leave this world, sun shining on the face and nature surrounding you, what more can any one ask for.  Anyway, that is for another day.  After a seven and half miles ( approximately twelve and half kilometers) hike up and down the hills and many photo stops in between, here is what I have for Frank’s Tuesday Photo Challenge.

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

  1. Excellent photos – I love all the details and textures you captured. Your hiking thoughts were enjoyable to read and I could imagine part-taking in the relaxing moments you experienced!

  2. Beautiful photos. Also enjoyed your thoughts on dying alone in the woods, how you’d relish it but it would be incomprehensible to your better half. I’m reminded of how dying pets sometimes behave, wanting to go off alone in nature or hide under a shed rather than pass on in the arms of their human. You face the scariest part alone no matter what–going through the door, over the bridge, into the bright light. I’ve lost two special people this summer… both of them waited until after their family members left to let go. Nice post on a delicate subject, PB. 🙂

    1. Thanks Joan.
I always enjoyed nature and will like to go without leaving a footprint.
Did a photo shoot of down town San Jose, CA today, the city I have called home for last twenty eight years. Hope to post in a few weeks after editing.
