Why not release me from this bondage of love
A candle lighted from both ends, have nothing more to give
Your silence speaks volume that I am unable to decipher
Either you sent the wrong signal or my heart got the wrong vibe
You bind me with a string so strong that I can only follow
Love so sweet, the fear of leaving you has left my heart hollowed

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

This month(April) is National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo). One writes a poem on the prompt given for the day and posts. I was thinking of joining this year but for lots of pending work, decided to give it a pass as I was afraid that I may not be able to adhere to a routine of daily posting. However, for practice, I decided to chose my own theme/prompt for the month and post on my blog. The theme I chose was “Love”. Addressed to no one in particular, based on my observations of my surroundings, experiences of friends and my long relationship with my better half (and sweet heart).

I’m trying to figure out who *you*are…..in hopes it my be him…..finally trying to speak to me. I got a message in my inbox on facebook, but it wasn’t there when I checked this morning…..or they had it overshadowed , but it had his name there, but when I checked again the message was gone and I couldn’t find out who sent it…..but I thought it was him.
