Dance of life

Sometimes we agree

Sometimes we agree to disagree

Sometimes we talk

Sometimes we listen

Sometimes we just talk not to listen

And that’s when the problems arise

If we just could listen to our silence

What our heartbeats talk when we don’t talk

I have a passport to your heart and direct entry

But I do not have a manual to read your thoughts

If it would have been that simple to read your mind

But why dare where gods fear to tread

I am not sure if love is blind

But for one who loves it behooves to be

Blind, deaf and dumb and let it be

So my love, here is to all the freedom

For what you want to do, what you want to be

As long as my silence is not misconstrued

And I can be me

Alas, the dance of life

What a delicate balance it can be

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

  1. I especially like the beginning of this poem, Pranab. All the verses are very eloquently written until “If it would have been that simple to read your mind”. From that moment onwards I felt like the initial strength was a bit gone. But, please, do not take me seriously as it is just a personal sensation. You now I always enjoy reading your poetry.

  2. Beautiful. Always deep. Always thinking and always silent. Always here. Always hopeful. Always growing. Always loving. Always out of reach. Always heartache. Always me.

  3. Sorry to be bombarding your site with my comments about my love life. I’ll try to just leave out my love life and comment about your poetry. I do love your writing. It reminds me of a voice I used to know. Thank you for your poetry. It’s musical and dynamic at the same time.

      1. Yes, that’s very true. Thank you. Just venting, but no one can fix it. Only God can and perhaps by writing comments on here I’ve finally realized that if it had been meant to be that it would have happened by now. Keep writing. The words you have are beautiful.
