I am neither lost
Nor seeking
Neither I lack faith
Nor indoctrinated
Atheist I am not
Nor a believer
In a world gone mad
Everyone preaching
My way or highway
Who is to judge
Wrong or right
I shall let you
Have your say
Will keep my
Opinion to myself
Lest I make a
Fool of me
Opening my mouth
Peace be on you
I have found mine

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

Beautiful and reflective, coming to terms with oneself and with the world despite disliking what is cruel and unfair. An apparently simple poem evoking profound thoughts about our existence. A direct and soothing message.

“coming to terms” or acceptance, I am not sure. I don’t want to say that I accept what’s happening, I don’t want to forfeit my rights but I am at peace with what I am doing and not seeking acceptance from others about it.

Yes, you are correct. Being at peace with yourself and with what you are doing is key to being in the world despite adversities.
