Why is this charade of living
Every moment is a struggle
A life living like a dead
Why this thirst unquenched
Relive daily the struggle to live
Is it just an illusion
A role playing
Dead playing the living
O’ you romantic
Yearning for a night
Under the starlit sky
Come share my bed
On the street
Even the full moon
Casts a dark shadow here

Dead man walking. Not me. I’m breathing, eating, walking, talking, writing, hoping, loving, believing, enjoying, laughing, crying, shouting, whispering, worshiping, working, seeing, hearing, feeling, helping, serving, remembering, planning, dreaming, waiting, …. Someday I will die, and just keep on with the above except for the crying. 😀

  Long back I had written a poem in my mother tongue about this illusion and translated to English. Not sure if I ever posted it.

    Yes.
    I write in English, Assamese, Bengali and Hindi but less in Bengali and Hindi.

    If you can read,, you can write. Specially as you write in Hindi, it will come naturally.
    I have issues with Hindi grammer. A few of my college class mates help in editing.

    I always had high regards for the Jewish people for their devotion to their language and religion. We Assamese on the other hand pride ourselves on giving up our heritage at the slightest pretext. Please don’t take it personally. I have not been able to teach my kids the language till now. Two of them speaks it well enough but the third (middle)one is not fluent. None of them, sadly, can read or write.

    No no. I have different reason. My dad was in Air Force so never studied Assamese plus hardly stayed in Assam . My mom taught me how to read because I wanted to
