Leave no baggage behind

For everyone the bell will toll

And we will close the book

And shut our eyes one last time

The time to disembark

Has finally come

Fortunate ones may have time

To say final goodbye

For others

Start of a lonely journey

To a place unknown

No baggage to carry, none

Hopefully none left behind

For those to follow

On the same lonely path

When the bell tolls for them

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

      1. Sorry you refuse to accept the possibility of a glory that awaits. Seems so sad. God said, “I set before you life and death. Choose life.” I can’t understand the lack of spirit that refuses to even look at the alternative. Sorry you are being burdened with heaviness that has clipped your wings. Glad you are going on a trip soon. Go in peace; go with God. Have a special time with your wife. Write her some lovely poetry. Share with us when you return.

      2. I have chosen life and I am happy. Just want to ensure, if I go before you, that you feel sorry that you could not reform me😂. Don’t want to leave you with that baggage. Beyond that, who knows. If there is a heaven, I am sure I shall be there. If not, I have heard people saying that hell is more fun. But again, who knows. Have not committed too many sins in life, may be I shall get some opportunity in afterlife.
