Monalisa

On a bitterly cold Parisian morning, after a long wait in line to enter Louvre and then nearly stampeded by an on rush of myriad tour groups and suffering hordes of selfie clicking Monalisa lovers, many of whom never turned back to look at her, finally the moment arrived when I had my brief few moments with her. Below I try to capture my feelings of the momentus occasion.

O’ Monalisa

Now that I saw thee

Realized I did a mistake

I did not take a selfie

But I did solve the mystery

Of your smile

Must be smiling

Making fools of

Millions like me

Standing in lines for hours

For just a glimpse

Of thee

O’ Monalisa

I could have better spent

A cold November morning

Drinking coffee

Smile on Monalisa

Many a fools

Will definitely follow me

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.
