The earth finally has heaved a sigh of relief
Nature does not beg but snatches its rights
Those who can not appreciate the free bountiful gifts
And fall on their faces scrambling to breathe
To wait for them to provide relief and clean up their misdeeds
While they hide behind their walls of fingerpointing
Nature took back with a venegesnce what is rightfully hers
And while the culprits scramble for a remedy
The earth has again started to breathe
A warning sent, acknowledged, to be forgotten in due time
Just remember ye greedy souls the lessons of these days
Nature does not beg but snatches its rights
Nature can’t wait for us to clean up our mess. She takes action whether we like it or not. Great poem, PB. I liked this line, “A warning sent, acknowledged, to be forgotten in due time.” Especially the last part, because it’s so true. We’re painfully aware of it now, but once the crisis has passed, it will fade from our memory. 🙂

And we shall pay the price again and again if we forget.

Life keeps teaching you the same lesson until you learn it. 🙂

Will we ever learn?
Though I hope so, not sure if that shall happen during our life time.

So true! Some people learn in the harshest possible ways. Mother Nature had no choice to heal herself.

Yes, and when she does we pay dearly.

This posted a few days ago, but I am reading it on Earth day.
Perhaps, this will be the cleanest Earth day since we all need to be nestled in our homes.
Hopefully, our world will be able to let out a sigh of relief with all of our filth and garbage contained.

How long do you think before we go back to our old ways?
