O thou extravagant,
with the luxury of time to waste
to indulge in nostalgia of
a bygone past,
spare some of it
to explore the beauty
of the present,
and nurture it well.
reach out and embrace
what is,
lest the future passes you by,
and you are left with
the luxury of time,
to waste and rue,
what could have been,
what could have been!

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

Juggling between the past and the present, take the hilarious, beautiful and the joyful from the past to energize, not hold back.
And live in the Present, embrace as tight as possible, without getting suffocated.
Beautiful poetic reminder not to while away the time in the past.

I didn’t suggest to throw away the past altogether.
Thanks.

I don’t rue the past nor have thoughts of what might have been. I’m very glad to have memories of what was and a hope for what is to come.
