The ink dried long ago,
Pages left blank,
Thoughts buried
deep under,
Heart aches,
The pain festers,
Silently drips the blood,
Slowly becomes
A torrent.
The world turns,
and somewhere,
exuberant keystrokes dance
a rhythmic dance,
words flow across a screen,
unknown, unloved,
A poem is born.

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

Can’t for the world of me missed this. Love the way you began and the verse flows effortlessly.. faultless lines poignant and perfect.

Thank you so much for the beautiful words. I wrote the poem and was about to post in my FB story when I saw your haiku in WP. So added those lines in my comment to your haiku.

You are welcome, Pranab.
More ink to your quill. Your verse has a lot of soul .. soulful and enigmatic.
A safe weekend to you.

I really like this one, my favorite. By the way, how do create stanzas on wordpress? Or separate paragraphs? I recently posted a poem but I cannot divide it into the original stanzas.

Long time no see Marta. Hope everything is going great with you.
Once WP forced the Gutenberg block editor, I stopped writing in WP directly. Instead I write in Google doc and the copy paste in WP and while pasting paste as plain text. That way every stanza gets copied into separate blocks. Then if required I edit individual blocks. Not an elegant way of doing it but works for me. Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks for your comment.

You are welcome. I am fine, just been too busy to be on WP. I edited my poem using Microsoft Word, the most commonly used program, and then did copy and paste into separate blocks like you. WP seemed to respect the stanzas, but I logged out and when I checked out the poem the form got lost.

Many are not happy with the new block editor in WP. Not intuitive.

Yes, that’s exactly the problem. It was much easier before.

Perhaps I should use Google doc like you and hope the copy paste will keep the separate blocks.

Try it and see.
Just ensure that inside the block when you paste, click on paste as plain text. Otherwise everything will be pasted in one block.
