When my brain goes
Don’t come looking for me, my darling
You will not be able to bear hearing
The sound of my heart breaking
Me not being able to say
I miss loving you every day

No Shame in Failing
Temper dreams with pragmatism
Resolve with fortitude
A slide down with a lift up
Banish self doubt with conviction
Have faith on self
Give mind a free rein
But do keep control
There is a reason
Brain is not on your loin
Those led by their loins
Will perish by their loins
Do the right thing
Think but do follow through
No shame in failing
Secrets of Mr. Hyde
I search my soul in vain
For the secrets of Mr. Hyde
Hiding deep inside
Unannounced
He makes his moves
Waiting for the darkness
Ready to fry my brain
Thoughts repulsive
Repugnant
Tie my limbs, I can
But the mind digress
Temptations
Did Satan corrupt Eve
Or God impregnated us
With duality
Forbidden fruit or necter
As night goes, daybreak
Evil will pass
Goodness reign
This poem is in response to Jane Dougherty’s November Yeats Challenge day Two
Unrequited Love
Heart is a terribly lonely place
Where reason fears to tread
Brain fried in fats of deep emotion
Unable to send or receive signals
Non reciprocated sentiments left
A devastatingly scorched landscape
Victim relationship
Left to drown in a
Sea of unrequited love
