Ghost of past participle

I wanted to see

She wanted to be seen

We met halfway

But the ghost of

Past participle struck

The half that remained unfulfilled

Became the point of discussion

A stormy present

Leading to a murky future

Of matters

That do not

Matter any more

Forward only option

Life itself

Leaves no shadows

Chasing dreams

Ghosts of ambitions crushed

Create roadblocks

We trudge on

Hope eternal

Setting sun on the horizon beckons

Come on

Darkness not to be feared

Rubbles of all that we have touched

Lie behind

Path uncertain

Forward only option

Visit from the Autocorrect Ghost

Idea for this post came while commenting on a post from Ritu (butismileanyway). I read her post in bed and sent my comment.  As I was getting out from bed, I panicked.  Did the ghost of autocorrect took over my comment.  What a disaster that would be.
