Internet – Fleeting Muse

Clouds of the internet

The clouds of internet are changing,
No longer they may remain free,
gods of Google searching for ways of monetizing,
And soon others will follow through.

Isn’t that the way of life,
The haves will hog the resources,
And the havenots slowly wither.

Everything essential that nature provides free,
Soon our greed will touch and pollute,
The rich will pay to breathe and drink,
Will there be a world for the meeks to inherit?

The internet medical sites have produced a group of self taught medical experts with little knowledge that is a dangerous thing for their spouses forced to bear the brunt of that faulty education creating a deep divide in society between the hypochondriacs and the others driven to near insanity by the well meant incomplete information.

Life without internet

Just imagine
A world
Without internet
COVID-19
Would it have
So rapidly spread
The virus would
Still be there
Lack of news
It wouldn’t care
The world still
Merryly goes round
And when the news
Ultimately comes around
Nature would take its toll
And the ones left behind
Pick up the thread
And life goes on
Without internet

Worshipping Wants

Worshipping want
Perpetually enslaved
Imprisoned workplace
Convoluted reality
Losing senses
Mortgaging life
Ever widening gap
Have and have nots
Climbing ladder
Distant ceiling
Beyond reach
Lost foundation
Sacrificed needs
Unmanageable life
Marches on
Efforts unrewarded
Blaming others
Self-created misfortunes
Ruining homes
We are
Our own
Worst enemies
Black Fridays
Cyber Mondays
Marketing gimmicks
Ever tightening noose
Drowning ourselves
Never ending dreams

Gone to fetch the morning newspaper that has not come.
Little does he remember that internet had killed the paper long ago.
