Time Not A Healer: A set of Haiku

Gently flows the creek

Time flies like arrow forward

Lonely lover waits

*****

Meandering trail

Rushing creek sings lullabies

Jilted lover cried

******

Summer heat rises

Languorous mid-day slumbers

Wounded heart drips slow

******

Creek just a trickle

Time marches on relentless

Bleeding heart searches

******

Dry creek lost it’s way

Cruel time not a healer

Lover’s broken heart

Fistful of Stars Covered by Dark Clouds : Collection of Five Short Poems

Wrote this collection of five short poems first in my mother tongue, Axomiya(Assamese), couple of weeks back.  Translated these to English today with the Axomiya version following.  The first poem, titled If Death be a Lover was posted on my blog on March 16, 2018.

If death be a lover
And grants only one wish
Will make death promise
To embrace and take me whole

Women

Tribute to women on International Women’s Day

Women
Wonder everyday
Where would we be
Without them
Mother,sister,beloved,lover
Wife
Will we be complete
When there is none
World without women
What will it be
Caregiver,homemaker,soulmate,breadwinner
Where
We will find
Wonderful qualities all combined
Woe to the men
Who demeans women
Empathy,love,emotion,mercy
Women
With all fine qualities
Weaker sex why do we call
When for nine months
Womb carry the future world

Women
Without you
Where would we be
Wholeheartedly, without reservation
We salute thee
