silently the years fall by the wayside,
as the hairline recedes and
the pate reflects sunlight,
age creeps up;
every day a step nearer,
many has gone before by this
path of no return,
the mind plays games
with the memories of names,
everytime I pick up the phone,
the list shrinks and
one less name to call,
slowly the calls have stopped coming,
and the phone has fallen silent;
blessed are those
who make the calls and those are answered.

In search of the Unknown
gaze fixed on the stars,
a heart lost to the roses,
mind roaming the
realms of the unknown,
I take flight.
the light has shone,
alas, long gone,
darkness all around,
all illusion,
I seek the unknown.
what the heart felt,
the mind perceived,
eyes seek in vain,
try to comprehend,
all encompassing unknown.
from subconscious
to consciousness,
I soar,
my senses feel,
merge into the unknown.
Transgressed
transgressed I have a lot,
never have I reined in my mind,
if I did not taste the bad,
how would I know what good was?
without the pain in my heart,
how shall the laughter flow?
will we wait for the dawn,
without the darkness of the night?
what’s the fun of achieving anything
without paying a fair price,
what nature provided free,
we value not and reach for the sky.
millions loved and returned to dust,
Laila and Majnu still rule our hearts.
Searching for my muse
Deprived of my wings at birth,
May be the angels
were afraid, that
like Ikerus,
I shall attempt
to touch the sun,
and get burnt.
But I bargained
to set my
mind free,
soared high
and gained the
whole universe,
Imagination unbridled.
From unseen depths
of the ocean,
To places even
gods fear to tread,
I roam,
in search of
my elusive muse.
Alas, it’s a journey futile,
Travelogue continues,
Search goes on,
Certain that
once destination arrived,
the reward of discovery
shall silence my mind.

Life is about choices
Imagination unbridled, mind uncluttered
No Shame in Failing
Temper dreams with pragmatism
Resolve with fortitude
A slide down with a lift up
Banish self doubt with conviction
Have faith on self
Give mind a free rein
But do keep control
There is a reason
Brain is not on your loin
Those led by their loins
Will perish by their loins
Do the right thing
Think but do follow through
No shame in failing
Secrets of Mr. Hyde
I search my soul in vain
For the secrets of Mr. Hyde
Hiding deep inside
Unannounced
He makes his moves
Waiting for the darkness
Ready to fry my brain
Thoughts repulsive
Repugnant
Tie my limbs, I can
But the mind digress
Temptations
Did Satan corrupt Eve
Or God impregnated us
With duality
Forbidden fruit or necter
As night goes, daybreak
Evil will pass
Goodness reign

Venom
Don’t fill your hearts
With so much venom
That your own blood
Is poisoned
Don’t cover your eyes
With such tinted glasses
That you have only
Tainted vision
Don’t fill your brain
With thoughts of revenge
That you stop thinking
Uplifting thoughts
Don’t fill your mind
With filth and garbage
That you become oblivious
To truth
Open up your heart
Take off the shades
Clear your brain
Let the mind explore
Engage, not biased
Let truth and peace prevail
Expel the venom
Lest you destroy yourselves
