The day was hot. We had the a/c running with all doors and windows closed and drapes pulled tight. As the evening slowly turned into night, outside temperature was falling rapidly and soon outside was cooler than inside. As part of our normal routine during summer days, it was time to open the windows to let the outside cool air come inside. This made me think about the purpose of windows in our daily life. As the clock was ticking slowly and the day moving towards Thursday, I was feeling pressure to write my poem starting with the letter “W” for week 24 of my fifty two weeks journey with “W”. I will be honest, there are times when I think of not writing for Write Anything Wednesday. Who is going to notice? I know I will notice and once I break my commitment, it is gone. So with a weary body, I drag myself to write a poem starting with the word “window” and hope that I can complete it before the clock strikes twelve.
