Friday Babble

The internet medical sites have produced a group of self taught medical experts with little knowledge that is a dangerous thing for their spouses forced to bear the brunt of that faulty education creating a deep divide in society between the hypochondriacs and the others driven to near insanity by the well meant incomplete information.

Resurrection 2020

A short poem for Easter, of faith and belief in renewal.

Rejoice ye of little faith,
End of the crisis may be near, with
Spring in the air and sun coming out from
Under the clouds,
Renewal is near though misgivings may
Rear its ugly head, let’s not
Entertain negative thoughts
Clouding our judgement,
Terrifying though the current situation is,
In time this will also pass, have faith and
Onward march,
Never say die.

Lazy Friday Thought

Ever the thought crossed our minds

The one who we seek may be hiding

Fearful of being held responsible

For the chaos that was created

Or maybe a fine tuning is going on

To remove the kinks of imperfection

May be once the agents of division

Take care of themselves fighting each other

Seeking will be unnecessary as atlast

Goodness lives in hearts of all

And the one we seek live in peace

And let us live on peace

In harmony, satisfied on reaching the goal

Wisdom

Wisdom of thought and wisdom of speech
Wisdom of words and wisdom of deed
Wisdom that is learnt and wisdom inborn
Wisdom that make humans reform
Wisdom of age and wisdom of youth
Wisdom keeps us right going forth

Wise is the person learning from life
Wise are those who keep away from strife
Wise one does not need others to teach
Wise person does not unnecessarily preach

Bookish learning is not a pre-requirement for being wise
Observing nature and learning from life can get you the prize
An open mind to analyze and willingness to learn
Will provide the wisdom to be self sufficient and to earn

Remember Aesop’s story of the ants and the grasshopper
All the wisdom to be successful was buried inside there
Listening to the promises of the false prophets of Wall Street
Savings and loan scandal,dot-com bust, housing bubble resulted indeed

Wisdom is not a privilege of age nor a property of the sage
Learning is a lifelong process not bound by a cage
Ivy league education does not guarantee wisdom
Otherwise why  do we have so many political morons

Wisdom comes from learning to slow down and smell the roses
Treating others as you like to be treated and not creating foes
Learning when to open your mouth and what battles to pick
Learning to listen, analyze, understand and practice wisdom in deed

Wisdom will prevent us from being blind followers
Wisdom will guide us to find the true leaders
Wisdom will teach us not to   be bigots
Wisdom will show the path not to be zealots

Wisdom is a gift to cherish that will show us the light
Darkest moment of our life, wisdom will be shining bright

Just Some Thoughts

First attempt at blog post for Blogging 101

I started blogging two weeks back during the last part of 2015.  It was my trial to reach out to the community of poets that blog regularly.  I had started writing poetry about two years back as a way of expressing my feelings.  For nearly two years, I kept my writing private as I was not sure if any of my poems was worth sharing with others.  I had been sharing them with my family members and few of my friends.  It is their encouraging words and gentle push that brought me to the world of blogging.  As I was a complete novice to blogging, I jumped into the opportunity provided by wordpress to learn blogging in a more formal way through their Blogging 101 course.

My main interest is in poetry and I am following blogs mainly related to poetry.  However I do enjoy reading creative writing and photography also.

So here is my first post to blogging 101.
