Holiday season is upon us
Oh how wonderful to be alive
Let’s not forget those
In this season of love
Dreaming of holidays
As they fight to survive
You, I and we all, let’s
Share the love and joy all around
This post is in response to Eugenia’s BrewNSpew Cafe prompt for Dec 10.
First published on my blog on March 9, 2016 in honor of International Women’s Day. This poem was also a part of my “52 weeks journey with the letter “W”.
Where would we be
Will we be complete
When there is none
World without women
What will it be
We will find
Wonderful qualities all combined
Woe to the men
Who demeans women
With all fine qualities
Weaker sex why do we call
When for nine months
Womb carry the future world
Where would we be
Wholeheartedly, without reservation
We salute thee
I told my friend Jane that I will try to be as non-religious as possible to keep miracle and save away from the old guy. But I wanted to give him his due as at this time I do not see any way out for us to save this wonderful country of ours.
Wonderful to be alive
You save your applause
God save this wonderful land
Sometimes shit happens
What a miracle
No affordable choices
People save yourself
Ronovan’s Haiku Challenge
Well, that’s it, culmination of my fifty two weeks journey with the letter “W”.
While reading Wacky Wednesday to my kids, I never thought one day I will be traveling with W
Was it a whim that started this journey of posting to Write Anything Wednesday ?
When I started, I was not even sure that I will be able to complete this journey.
Whatever may be the reason, this was a fantastic journey.
Week after week, for last fifty two weeks, I had fun playing with a word starting with W
Wonderful friends I did meet during this journey, encouraging me to keep on posting.
Worthwhile it may not be, but I gained self confidence that I can stick to a goal.
Write Anything Wednesday will continue, I may drop in from time to time.
Who knows, I may write about witch hunt in Washington DC next time.
We all know all good things must come to an end one day.
Whether I like it or not, today is that day.
Wrap-up time my dear readers and a big thank you to you all.

Woods, majestic in their glory
Our many needs met
Only if we preserve and replenish these
Darlings of nature
Surely one day
Will enjoy the bounty of it all
Oh! if we do not take care
Of these majestic woods
Destruction of which
Soon be the death of ours
Wonderful are they
Offering shelters to many
On hot and rainy days
Delighting big and small, and bringing
Smiles to hearts of one and all
Week 26 of My Fifty Two Weeks Journey with “W”
Write anything Wednesday July-27-2016
Wednesday, expectations beckoning
Wonderful weekend, just around the corner
Worries of a long week slowly fading
With slow and steady steps
Weathering the work week
We, the warriors of the
Workforce of this world
Will ultimately hope to
Win this battle
Wondering every Monday
Will this be the last
Week we will be
Working, but on this
Worry if can complete
Whatever may come, two more days
Will roll over to Friday
Weekend, glorious weekend
We survived one more of
Week 17 of My Fifty Two Weeks Journey with “W”
Write Anything Wednesday May 25, 2016
Wish I had the healing touch
With the power to heal
War torn miseries from this
World, like magic lifting the downtrodden
Wretched and tortured souls and deliver a
Wonderful, peaceful world for the people
With ample to share by one and all
Worry free and happy world
Where there would be no more poverty
Wanton mayhem and murders
Wickedness banished for ever
Woman, man and all races as equal partners
Will share and prosper together
Won't we be able to see a
World so beautiful that we all cherish
Willingly sacrifice to keep it nourished
World we will be proud to
Wander without fear of artificial borders
Where no checkpoints, walls and fences
Will keep us apart further
Wishing alone won't make this happen
Working together we stand a chance
