Tyranny of Time

I do not wear a watch anymore
No band to adorn my wrist
Tentacles, suffocating, broken
Now I have time for everything
I stop to listen
Not rush to talk
Schedule slipped is fine
Will be rescheduled
Whenever I have time
Appointments missed
Will make new one
Final appointment
Schedule unknown
Looking at the watch
Of no help
Every step nearer to the grave
I feel more liberated
Eternity is a myth
Death, a friend
To be embraced
I am free of
Tyranny of time

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.
