Against the Tide: RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge # 243 Swim & Float

This post is in response to Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Challenge .

Swimming against tide
Dark hostile environment
A precious life floats
*****
Nine months and counting
Swimming and floating in peace
Harsh world waits outside
*****
Swim, you precious soul
Cruel sharks circling around
Floating dangerous
*****

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.

      1. What? Are we talking politics? I was talking babies and outstanding poetry. This is to confirm to me that you have a heart as you support the mother without one. What conflict! I would probably have that conflict maybe 1 percent of the time. Maybe one in a hundred mothers have a real issue; you stand 100% of the babies have a real conflict. Did you write today? If so, I missed it. I’ll check.

      2. I was just trying to have some fun at your expense on a cold, rainy day. I stand duly chastised.
My writing is being interrupted by the home remodeling project. It’s already behind schedule and the novelty of cooking in the garage is wearing off.

  1. Aww. Keep me challenged. I would have liked to get to the gun issue today, but have over night company. So nothing in the morning probably. A funeral tomorrow so nothing then. A group coming for lunch Sunday so I basically out of it until Monday. Have free reign on your remodeling. Hope the weather has improved.

      1. This made me laugh out loud. Don’t tell me I am a censor? Company left in time for me to spend a couple hours here. And my table is already set for luncheon tomorrow. A guy can’t get by with anything! I’m betting you like my post today. 😀
