Valentine with a twist

Wrote this poem today morning in Hindi. I do not know why. That’s the language the thoughts came rushing in and I just wrote it quickly before forgetting. Afterwards I translated it to my mother tongue Axomiya (Assamese) and English. Posting them in the same sequence here.

न मैंने कभी तुझसे कि प्यार;
रहता हुं हर दिन;;
लेता हुं बस तेरे ही नाम;

তোমাৰ সঙ্গতে এতিয়া থাকো সৰ্বক্ষণ;
অহৰহ ভজোঁ ম‌ই তোমাৰেই নাম;
বহুবল্লভা হৈ গ’লা তুমি;

You never loved me,
Neither I had fallen for you;
It is different now
Can’t live a moment
without you,
Every moment of the day,
I am with you.
Once you kissed my lips,
And the bartenders kept
filling the glasses,
I forgot the world,
And day and night,
Only chant your name.
O’ ye adulterous one,
Intoxicated me,
and spread your love
far and wide;
And this unfortunate,
Infatuated by your charm,
Became dishonored,
Drunkard.

Poetry is my passion. I am not a methodical writer. I have no set topics to write about. What I feel, perceive, think about, I will like to share in this blog. I open my mind to the world. Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy. I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of those sunshine with my readers.
